2 INJURED, 546 PEOPLE AND 91 HOUSES AFFECTED BY WINDSTORM IN ZAMFARA STATE
Over 91 houses, 546 persons affected and two people were injured in aftermath of the devastating windstorm that ravaged about eight communities {Sara da Kanka, Kuka Tara, Layin Daji, Lungun Bugaje, Gumawa, Kofar Kyarawa, Tankin Ruwa and Kan Wuri} in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara state.
The incident that happened in late September was reported to Nema Sokoto Operations office.
An assessment team led by the agency’s head of operations, Mallam Suleiman Muhammad visited the affected places to ascertain the level of damages.
