WE PLANNED TO MURDER A STUDENT AFTER FINAL EXAM – SUSPECTED CULTISTS

Security men have nabbed suspects intended to murder a student after final exam in a Polytechnic in Aba, Abia state.

The suspects, who claimed to be students of the unnamed polytechnic, were said to be having issues with the student and had planned to murder him.

According to Abia Facts, luck ran out of them when the security operatives attached to the school requested to search one of the killers' bag and found inside the bag a locally manufactured pistol.

The suspects were paraded before newsmen on Tuesday.

Confessing to the crime, one of the yet-to-be named suspects told newsmen they were having issues with the student and planned to kill him while he was writing his final examination but luck ran out on them when the security operatives requested to search one of the suspected killers’ bag.

“The police then discovered a locally manufactured pistol,” he confessed.

The state Commissioner of Police, CP, Leye Oyebade, who paraded the suspects, said investigations are ongoing.
