BOKO HARAM NOT DEFEATED – SENATOR KYARI, REPRESENTING NORTH OF BORNO

The senator representing north of Borno in the red room, Senator Abubakar Kyari said he is not going with the assertion that the terrorists of Boko Haram were defeated.
The senator, who tabled a motion yesterday on the floor of the Senate on the attacks of the dreaded sect on University of Maiduguri, told the Senate that there was information available that the terrorists were gathered for another attack in an unknown place.

According to him, the assertion that the terrorists are defeated is quite unimportant because of the series of attacks on innocent citizens in the state of Borno.

Senator Kyari said University of Maiduguri is the only federal high-level institution in the state, so it is necessary that the federal government do something urgently to stop the relentless attacks on the institution.

He added that the University has produced graduates across the country, some of whom are prominent Nigerians making waves both nationally and internationally. He argued that urgent attention must be paid to solve the problem and ensure that the insurgent paralyzed academic activities at the University.
