Awka, the capital of Anambra state, this morning experienced the cooling effect of rainfall but never anticipated the massive flood accompanied by the downpour that lasted for some hours.

The busy area of the commercial capital of Anambra has been adversely affected with flood due to poor drainage systems and blocked waterways.

This has affected the movement of commuters, goods and services in the area.
