3-MONTH NOTICE: GOV. NASIR ORDER THE ARREST OF THOSE INVOLVED

Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has given order to arrest those persons involved in the 3-month prompt notification ordering the Igbos to vacate from the northern part of the country.

Kaduna  Governor  has given order to arrest those people behind the 3-month quick notice given to Igbos to vacate from the Northern part of the country.

In a statement signed by his spokesman, Samuel Aruwan, El-Rufai strongly condemned "the speech of incitement and hatred pronounced by some" young people of the North "self-taught.

El-Rufai said: "The government of Kaduna State has ordered its Ministry of Justice to prepare charges and prosecute the signatories and complicate the organization of this blatant attack on the rights of fellow citizens."

The governor condemned the action of the groups and assured all residents of the state that "no one can manipulate their freedom of residence where they choose".

The full statement reads:

"The Kaduna state government strongly condemns the press release of some self-proclaimed" northern youths "who threatened the safety and property of our citizens from the extraction Of Igbo.

The government assures every resident of our state that its constitutional and human rights to live in peace and possess property wherever they choose is sacrosanct.Even people who may feel unhappy about comments or Irresponsible actions that have taken place in other states must know that two forgeries can not make a right.

"The government of Kaduna State believes and will defend the right of all Nigerians to live safely and develop their full potential on its territory.

"A continual disregard for the rights of other citizens flows in the press release of those" northern youths "who have chosen to use the discourse on restructuring to promote their own program of hatred, Such opportunists can not distort the debate or turn it into a pretext for a program of displacement and dispossession of some barely concealed citizens.

"We will not tolerate irresponsible declarations and actions in our state," the declaration issued by the "young people of the North" violates the laws of Kaduna State, and the government of Kaduna State has Department of Justice to prepare charges and prosecute the signatories and complicate the organization of this blatant attack on the rights of fellow citizens.

"Preparatory to the prosecution, the police was ordered to immediately stop, question the signatories of the statement and investigate all the circumstances and persons who might be involved in the matter.

"The Kaduna state government is urging all residents to ignore the threats of" northern youth.
