Oyo State Police Command arrested a 20-year-old Ibrahim Babatunde for organizing his father's abduction.

Babatunde would have been used with three other accomplices to commit the law.

Other members of the kidnap band were identified as Babuga Salihu, 20 years old, Aura Sands, 20 and Amuda Yusufu, 19 years old.

State police commissioner Abiodun Odude said Aliyu Babatunde was kidnapped in Igboora and spent three days in his returnees' then.

He added that he had been released after the family paid N1m ransom.

The 20-year-old man said he was attracted to an abduction after his father closed his eyes to the welfare of his children.
My father married a lot of women and he does not care about us. We have to get by. 
So I think the only way to withdraw money is to organize his kidnapping and force him to separate from the money. "We collected N1m as a ransom from our family," he confessed.
While revealing how the crime was planned and executed, Babatunde said he had invited his friends after being sure that the plan would succeed.

Odude said: "The victim was finally taken to an unknown place where he was kept for a few days by his captors who then demanded the ransom as a condition for his release."
