LIKE OJUKWU, KANU’S NDI’GBO MESSINESS BY KALU
Just as the Igbo nation has the inviolable right to self-determination, its agitators, especially the militants of the last days, are too disorderly for the whole affair. He stained us; It goes after the blackmail of the rest of Nigeria; It is after the approach of hooliganism and it is after having eclipsed the last vestige of dignity and honor that we have as a people. But I hasten to say, I always respect the concept of Biafra as initiated and defended by the late sister of the Biafran War, the revered Ikemba Nnewi, Chief Chukwuemeka Odemegwu Ojukwu sued under military rule.
The candle that he has lit on Biafra must still extinguish, although he has never pursued this campaign well. When Ojukwu unleashed his rash anger against the Nigerian federation, I was only a growing boy somewhere in the darkest aisles in the eastern region. I suffered; We groan under pain; Suffered from humiliations and difficulties.
Like others, I am a victim! I lost both of my parents to this unfortunate war and later I had to face my fate as a survivor of the war, lucky enough to escape the bombs and shells of crossfire on both sides. I grew up in terrible conditions, like other children my age. But God has kept my life among the few to relive history today. I am very grateful for his mercy.
These are bloody experiences unworthy of remembering details because they can invoke disparate emotions of hatred in so many people. It makes me very sorry, when I see the mistakes of yesterday, remarkably and pleasantly repeated with a fanfare today by some Ndigbos. This is unfair, not only to me alone, but to the posterity of future generations of the Igbo nation. I am sad to say the least.
So, from these pathetic antecedents, I detest with inextinguishable passion, the democratic variants of Biafra in the identity of the movement for the survival of the sovereign state of Biafra (MASSOB) launched by the chief Ralph Uwazuirike. I even witness a deeper repulsion against his non-civilized armed gangsterism off-side, to the color of the indigenous peoples of Biafra (IPOB), propelled by the teenager, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu.
The platforms for the expression of our people's desire to have a republic or a sovereign state, from 1967 to the present day, expressed by certain elements of our fold, have rather exposed us to ridicule than the fortified concern of a Race to independence. It is difficult for Nigerians that the international community decipher and discern the authenticity of our intentions or aspirations as well as integrated civility for these successive agitations and all legal conventions everywhere, for we often observe them in violation.
But the whole world was obliged to see the shameful artificial portrait of the Ndi'gbo nation, unaccustomed by unusual people and unintelligible men and women who consent to the usurpation of their destiny by idiots, Mistrustful and selfish. They let us dry to distract everyone, as justification for the penny, we are forced to make an enthusiastic gift to this "cause."
On the contrary, at least, anyone who had reasons to interact with an Igbo man anywhere in the world could easily attest to our endowments in any area of human activity. The South easterners are an infectiously intelligent, laborious and enterprising force, assertive and autonomous. These treasures were wasted in the public estimation by the criminality close to MASSOB and IPOB.
If the agitations for a Biafran state are genuine, do they want to tell us, they do not know where or how to start? In today's world, you hide yourself with a noble cause, but execute it by brigandage or sword and dagger, and also, criminalizing the economy of the same people, you claim the inheritance, under cover of Separate them from the ways of oppression and marginalization does not work anywhere. At least not in Africa, as I know.

The approach of MASSOB and IPOB is a tacit negotiation for the declaration of another civil war against Nigeria and the Igbo nation. And take it or throw it out, the consequences would simply be for the Igbo nation again. I liked being a governor or a minister and even a president in a republic "Biafran". But to arm our people to kill on sight, those who do not believe in this aspiration and murder security agents, including soldiers, are an unavoidable invitation to war, a replication of the episodes from 1967 to 1970.
This is not Not the way to do it and I'm afraid that criminal gangs have paved the way for our pain and we follow and applaud. As I said earlier, I still cherish the Ojukwu version of Biafra. He had an honest ideology. Yes, Ojukwu had it! The Ikemba Nnewi exuded the spirit Igbo in body and soul. But he failed to interpret appropriately the events that inaugurated the 1966 counter-coup, allegedly interpreted by some officers from the North. But that's the story, for now.
Thus, Ojukwu played his ignorance on the tribune of the vendetta, attached to a staff and I repeat a very personal selfish battle with General Gowon, the next head of state of the federal military government of the time after Aguiyi-ironsi. He was blinded by the spark of vengeance against forces far beyond him.
Ojukwu underestimated everything and everyone or the community that counted. Some details are not too good, but Professor Chinua Achebe recalled in his last book (on Biafra) before death that Ojukwu never consulted widely before declaring a Republic of Biafran. Exactly, Ojukwu only consulted two people of the personalities table in his delineated map of Biafra.
He was at war with nothing, except his personal ego and even executed his own brothers that he accused of betraying the agenda of Biafran. As a result, Ojukwu's Biafra was rejected at home and abroad, resulting in the Ndiggs massacre and subsequently Ojukwu slipped into self-imposed exile in Côte d'Ivoire (now Ivory Coast).
He never informed anyone, including his immediate commanders. They surrendered solely to discretion, when the federal forces brought them together. It's really a sad story. Now, the Uwazuirikes and Kanus of today make us fear desperately to remember this story, the wrong way. They are insensibly armed against the federal government of Nigeria under President Muhammedu Buhari, demanding a Biafra. IPOB is at the forefront.
But did the Ndi'gbo ask Nnamdi Kanu and his clan of agitators, how much the group is ready to launch a war of secession against Nigeria? Kanu has repeatedly stated in public that secession is by force. That means that he must have armed himself secretly, which is quite right! But what about the ideological trajectory of his campaigns? To what extent does it boast of consultations with the rest of the Igbo nation?
I know that the leaders of the Igbo Nation, including Ohaneze Ndigbo, the Forum of Southeast Governors, and some concerned groups in the region have opposed the idea of a Biafra now. So, Kanu and his clique face who in the Igbo nation? That is the dilemma. Ndigbo must understand that the leader of the IPOB, Kanu, is after his belly and his personal enrichment through the deceit of men and women gullible Igbo with Biafra agitations.
People should be wondering why the MASSOB leader is calm now? What is the proof of my accent? Kanu who was arrested with dozens of other pro-IPOB-Biafran members was released on bail in April 2017. A leader should usually be concerned about the fate of his ardent supporters, who suffers the same fate with him.
Kanu has addressed rallies, despite the ban of the court; He went up several times among the people. But did Kanu even mention in private discussions the fate of our parents still detained because of his egoistic search for relevance or have pleaded for their release like him? No! Let him tell the rest of the world, if he has already done so, even in violation of the court order as he did for himself!
Meanwhile, Kanu has left our brothers in pre-trial detention and legs directly at the home of Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) to eat amala and ewedu soup. But this is not the favorite delicacy of Igbos. Perhaps, he went to the southwest for curry.

But as usual, he met the wrong person in FFK. Indeed, FFK defended the IPOB or the self-determination agenda in general. Unfortunately, I am told that FFK is not a Yoruba man, a descendant of slaves from Sierra Leone, whose grandparents were released on a slave ship in Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria and hospitalized.
Neither the Yorubas nor anyone else allowed FFK to speak or fraternize with anyone about self-determination in Nigeria at their request. He is a jailbird and continues to face legal charges against corruption.
He is the hero of our Kanu, against his own brothers still in pre-trial detention. The way I look at today's Kanus, just like Ojukwu, who also fled Nigeria, abandoning his captured troops behind, but never forgets his Mercedes-Benz (symbolic of Kanu's desire for gains Political and wealth), after leading several to their prematurely Tombs, Ndi'gbos will be abandoned again, after a little boy brings us to an unknown destruction pit.
We now know why Kanu is so obstinate as to disobey the voice of our elders and leaders. The visit of FFK by Kanu discloses the true identity of the sponsors and if the Yorubas (of which FFK is not one) decide to fraternize, it would not be in an alien like the FFK.
Those who betrayed the Ojukwu-Biafra were the Yorubas. So, if Kanu's alliance with FFK is a negotiating chip to reach political positions in the country, on the blood and sweat of Ndi'gbo, I want to assure them that it is a big gaffe. The current generation of Igbo youths, indolent and credulous who believe in Biafra's Paradise of Fools, where mansions, private jets, Ferrari cars, like Senator Melaye and other "good" things would come automatically, without work to win The wage, should think twice before perishing in pain and blood.
I do not intend to fully understand the problem, but you can call me names or name me with all sorts of derogatory nicknames. I do not care. But Biafrans deceived the corrupt biblical song of "Seek first, your Kingdom of Biafra and its independence, and all the other things will be added to them," are horrible dreaming.
That I am originally from Igbo nation does not mean that I should support "biafraud", in IPOB or MASSOB.
