EZURUIKE WINS GOLD FOR NIGERIA, SETS NEW RECORD IN RIO 2016 PARALYMPICS
Nigeria Team won two medals on Friday, at the ongoing Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
Latifat Tijani won a silver medal in women’s power lifting, narrowly failing to clinch gold, while Ronaldo Ezuruike took gold in the men’s power lifting -54kg category. He lifted 200kg, to finish far ahead of 10 other finalists.
In achieving this feat, he also broke the previous Paralympic record of 185kg.
