WIKE REPLIES OSHIOMHOLE OVER ALLEGED MOBILISE TO RIG EDO ELECTION

Dr Austin Tam-George, the River State Commissioner for Information and Communication, in his statement in Port Harcourt, said on Friday that Gov. Nyesom Wike and his Delta counterpart, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, did not intend to plan or mobilize to rig the Edo governorship election.

He said that the claims by Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo that the two governors donated N2 billion to rig the election in favor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were false, saying that Gov. Wike will never made such financial donation

The commissioner said that the governor enjoined Edo people to vote for the PDP in the election, despite the earlier arrangement for Sept 10, was shifted to Sept. 28 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
