INEC POSTPONES EDO GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

Reports reaching chenkele have it that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has postponed the Edo State Governorship election.

Recall that the Nigerian Police Force and the Department of State Services, DSS, had yesterday warned against going ahead with the poll, citing security concerns.

However, the commission, earlier on Thursday, had insisted that the election will go on as scheduled.

Reason for the latest change as at press time is still sketchy.
