GRAVE CONSEQUENCES, IF IGBOS EXPEL FROM NORTHERN NIGERIA – FANI-KAYODE
Former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode said there would be serious repercussion if the Igbos were barred from the North.
Fani Kayode said this via his Twitter button in response to the threat made by groups from the Northern Alliance.
The former minister has argued that the overthrow of the Igbos outside the North would not have any interest in the country but would complicate the fragile state of the nation.
He said: "Loving the Igbo and expelling them from the North will not be useful. This time, the Middle Belt and all the South will be held with them."
"We want peace through restructuring and not through violence," he said. "Freeing genocide against the Igbo or any other person in the north will have serious consequences."
It can be recalled that a coalition of northern youth groups was marked, "The Kaduna Declaration" gave all Igbos residing in any part of northern Nigeria three months to move to their places of origin, origin.
