The governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, denied the rumors that made rounds in social media that he dropped the All-Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA for another political party, describing it as a lie.
This was figured in a press release early Friday morning describing that an all-night meeting held by the 21 chairmen of the local government area at his instance had ended with a council for him to leave APGA following the order Of mandamus issued by a High Enugu Court Licensing Chief Victor Oye for Chief Martin Agbaso as National Party President.

Okpala said "I declare that the observatory and appropriate public information that Governor Willie Obiano remains a strong member of the APGA card and still remains the chairman of the party's governing board and party leader ".
He continued that the governor never considered removing the APGA for any other party, and still remains on his unwavering desire and commitment to seek re-election as governor under his APGA party platform.
He said: "This current circulating circular is undoubtedly the work of the opposition which has no real political program or economic program for the State of Ndi Anambra. This rumor is only navigating in appearance Of the imagination of the opposition.
"Governor Obiano, as a genuine festive man, has worked hard and strongly on APGA's agenda and political manifesto and is not going to give in because his good works for Ndi Anambra helped Its name to be written in golden letters, awaiting inclusion also in the world Guinness Book of Records. "
