I'M STILL A STRONG MEMBER OF PDP - IWUANYANWU DECLARED

A founding member of the Democratic Peoples Party (PDP) Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu has rejected the reports linking him to a newly formed political party Advance Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA).

Iwuanyanwu revealed it in a press release he signed personally and published to reporters on Thursday.

According to him, PDP overturned and, as such, it was not necessary to launch the party for another. 

The statement reads as follows:

"Chief Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu, PDP Board Member, MP PDP National Caucus representing the Southeast and PDP member of the National Executive Committee.

"I recently watched some PDP members decamating to other parties, including new parties. I even read the newspaper's publication alleging that I left PDP for one of the new games.

"I want to state categorically that I have never attended a meeting for the formation of a new party or party.

"For the avoidance of doubt, I wish to inform my many supporters and sympathizers that I am still a member of the Democratic Peoples Party.

"PDP is a brand name, I believe. Despite the mistakes and misfortunes of the past, PDP will return to power and give Nigerians honest and credible leadership."
