PDP CRISIS: SUPREME COURT JUDGEMENT WILL BE ‘NO VICTOR, NO VANQUISHED’ – FAYOSE
Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose said that regardless of the outcome of the Supreme Court's next decision on the leadership crisis of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), the party's members will remain united.
Fayose added that all party stakeholders have resolved that the early judgment of the Apex Court would be considered a "No Victor, not defeat" position.
He said this by speaking at the end of a meeting of the PDP Governors Forum (PDPGF) held at Ekiti Government Lodge.
According to him, the leaders of the party have the hope that the next judgment will still unite the party.
The governor, who chairs the PDPGF, said: "The PDP governors have resolved to remain confident, committed and loyal to the PDP.
"We believe that the Party that is more democratic than any other in the country will be united to win the elections at all levels in 2019.
"On the appeal to the Supreme Court, the leaders of the party have the hope that the next judgment will still unite the party.
"To confirm my point of view, we have agreed that the outcome of the Court will be that of no winners or positions defeated.
"The PDP is beyond each member and, as such, we must all be guided by its supremacy.
"I wish to reassure all Party members of our continued agreement, as PDP governors, to work together for the overall success of the Party and democracy."
